Following graduation from Kearsarge High School in North Sutton, NH, Dave toured two consecutive summers with the Continental Singers, traveling all over the USA and parts of Europe. He then attended Grand Rapids (Michigan) School of the Bible and Music, graduating with a diploma in Sacred Music and specialization in Youth Ministry.

Diane learned to play the piano and organ as a child. After graduating high school in Clinton, Michigan, Diane attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, graduating with a diploma in Christian Education.

After Grand Rapids, Dave and Diane served the Lord together in Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches in North Carolina and Florida. In both churches, Dave served as Assistant Pastor, Minister of Music, Worship Leader, and Youth Pastor. With Diane's accompaniment on the piano/keyboard, Dave's baritone voice ushers an atmosphere of worship in a variety of musical styles from hymns to contemporary music. In the Lord's leading, Dave and Diane returned to New Hampshire to serve Him as laymen in music and youth.

Over the past four years Dave has provided pulpit supply for churches searching for a pastor or when their pastor was on vacation. Dave and Diane's two children, Carmen and Jonathan, were born in North Carolina and are now young adults serving the Lord. With Carmen and Jonathan both now married, Dave and Diane Benson are experiencing growth in their ministry of providing pulpit supply and special music for church services. dbMinistries also provides music for conference centers, campgrounds, holidays, banquets, and funerals,
