Neither stranger nor newcomer to gospel ministry, David's very evident zeal for the gospel, love for the Lord, and ministry in music honors as well his father, Gardner, third from the left in this photograph.
Gardner Benson is here quoted from his statement on the Lamplighter Quartet brochure:
"In Times Like These" I can truthfully say that I am glad that I have someone greater than I to guide and care for me! Although I grew up in a church and later taught Sunday School, it wasn't until I was 26 years old that I first heard that one needed a personal relationship with God's Son through faith and trust in Him. The Song "Now I Belong to Jesus" has a real and personal meaning for me because Jesus belongs to me." "Not for the years of tme alone, but for eternity."
